The Lazy Dog Surf Shop needed a hip logo that could be used for a multitude of uses. Eventually, this logo will make its way to t-shirts, the store door, vinyl decals, and marketing material.
When shoppers arrive at the shop, they are immediately greeted with a decor of a retro beach... back in a time when the VW campervan trekked across the country and the love of life filled the air. The demographic of the shoppers are in the 17-28 age range, or their parent's age if shopping with them and included about 40% girls and 60% boys, so there needed to be something appealing to both.
I decided to make the logo in a Vintage style, to match the retro beach style, but with a pop of color. Two fonts were used in this piece: Nevis Bold and Atlantic Bentley Regular.
