Interior Architecture

I want to captivate my audience. I want my designs to tell a story, a story that enhances a human-centered experience, while creating a space that provides an empathetic design to deliver what they need, how they need it, and at the moment they need it. At the forefront, during, and in retrospect of my Interior Designs, I implemented the Walt Disney Imagineering list of commandments, otherwise known at Mickey’s 10 Commandments.

This project involved working in a predetermined space and layout of an existing space for renovation. I had to learn about my audience and understand their needs, in addition to ensuring reusable materials were utilized throughout the space and requirements for restrooms, kitchen and seating were all carefully considered.

I designed this Hotel Lobby to ensure the space had a modern, yet open approach. I created visual models and repeated patterns to create this design motif. I synthesized the space with an intent to ensure the space had a very linear feel.

Designed a vacation cabin in Portland, Maine for an assigned client. The design captured the natural beauty of Maine, with many whites, blues, reds and a large visual motif of a Lighthouse.

Walking through the space, tells you a story and provides a 2nd floor balcony with windows that overlook the coast.

This project was a restaurant renovation in Athens, Ohio. For this project, I was inspired with it’s local history and the main mode of transportation in and out of Athens was by train. For years, the Athens depot was the main hub of town. I wanted to appeal to the local community with a piece of their heritage, while inspiring visitors at the same time.
